Listener Reviews

A needed podcast at an important crossroads
Great podcast discussing how politics play directly into our environmental and climate policy.
Like the balance
I really like the balance of having both parties represented. Good conversation on the politics of clean energy. The GTM podcasts are a must listen for those in the industry.
Engaging and Insightful Debates
As a Canadian, I admit that I am woefully uninformed about American politics. But I’m also acutely aware of both how American politics influence all of North American and the importance of clean energy and climate change discussions. Despite my political ignorance, I still found this podcast to be engaging, educational, and even entertaining! I love hearing people articulately, insightfully, and respectfully debate any issue - which is exactly what Brandon and Shane do (with Julia to keep them both in line, of course)! I’ll definitely keep tuning in.
Great podcast!
I’ve really enjoyed the first two podcasts, and looking forward to more. Good political format with 1 dem, 1 rep, and Julia (the self-described “neutral Canadian”). The give and take of the two political wonks is hilarious!Julia is a superb writer/reporter, a good person to follow on Twitter, and now a great podcast host. She tends to upspeak a lot on the other GTM podcasts she’s been on, which greatly distracts my Gen-X ear when listening to them. So I was worried I wouldn’t be able to listen to this one, but was willing to give it a try. The rising speech inflection at the end of every sentence is not present, the format and content is great, and I have really enjoyed the podcasts so far.
Just what I've been waiting for!!
After listening to the first two episodes, I am extremely excited about the Political Climate podcast. This show has been sorely needed and fills a great gap in the current GTM podcast lineup around clean energy innovation. Hearing the clear, well thought out perspectives from across the aisle provides extremely valuable insights, which I have not found anywhere else. Case and point is highlighting the potential polarizing effects of the phrase "climate change" in the first episode. Brandon Hurlbut's deep energy policy experience provides such valuable insights and Julia Pyper does a fantastic job creating a balanced, thought provoking conversation. I highly recommend this podcast for anyone in the energy industry or those looking to learn more about the sector.
Refreshing
GTM’s latest podcast on the politics of sustainable energy in the US is frank, constructive, and informative. Julia is an excellent moderator.I’m looking forward to hearing more from the team soon!
Outstanding pod!
Excited to have an awesome energy markets and policy pod! The energy community has been in need of a show like this.
