How do we overcome disinformation?
How can we find common ground with people bombarded with so much disinformation? Trump has spent the better part of the last ten years undermining our scientists, medical professionals, journalists, teachers, our justice department and courts. He has lied incessantly. And now no one believes anything, and there are no agreed upon facts for anyone to find common ground. And in this free for all, where everyone just believes what they want to believe, Trump puts up an incomprehensible front, and everyone sees in it what they want to see (e.g., the election is rigged unless I win). And behind all the smoke and mirrors, greed tightens its stranglehold, bigotry is empowered, and health and safety is endangered.
Love the new host!
I’m loving that Emily joined the show! I’m a big government liberal and appreciate hearing the perspectives from someone with a very different world view. I look forward to using these conversations to get a sense of how an influential person on the right thinks about climate and what arguments and approaches will be most likely to win their support.
Different perspective
For those following climate related developments in the US, this podcast offers a much needed perspective.
Smart and joyful takes
Love the fun banter interspersed with thoughtful insights from this crew - their show really covers the waterfront for climate politics, tech innovation, and sustainable business trends. Really draws you in, and it’s paced well.
A model for climate podcasts
Discussions are clear, informative, well prepared. Keep up the good work :-)
Absolutely amazing
The perfect podcast for new learners in the sector as well as more experienced people as well in order to grasp the current conversations in the industry!
Don’t go!!
I’ve been listening since the beginning and always come away inspired and informed. Thank you. I hope you find your way back to a place where you can keep this going!
A good insight to US energy politics
And a reassuring proof that there are good thinkers and doers on both sides of the political spectrum.
Just the podcast I was looking for
So great to find a podcast that covers recent news and how it impacts past, current and proposed climate legislation. I look forward to every new episode. One tweak that would be worth making is for better prepared hard hitting questions for their guests. The hosts more often than not let guests talk about whatever they want, rather than steering in the conversation in the most valuable direction.
Highly recommend
A truly bipartisan, open minded conversation around climate - I recommend this show all time to anyone looking to expand their understanding of ‘the other side’ and how we can provide unified support to climate solutions.
Bipartisan and climate? A dream
I can’t say enough how much I enjoy and appreciate this podcast. It’s definitely my favorite! I have been working in the solar industry for nearly 15 years and had given up hope that republicans care about science and climate. This podcast has shown me that that vision is flat out wrong (for the select few) and really opened my eyes to how the other side would approach climate. Really refreshing. Thank you all so much for putting this together!!
Likely the most important subject we could be discussing
Well curated, smart, diverse and no softballs.
Incredibly entertaining and informative show!
This show has an excellent format and it’s three bi-partisan hosts are great. I love getting Julia’s, Shane's, and Brandon’s perspectives every week on critical climate stories. Also, very impressed with the mini-spinoffs, like “Build Back Better” and “Ditched” that Julia keeps rolling out! As a life long Republican (definitely not this current or last few cycles though) from Texas, I am encouraged that there are still voices of sanity holding down the fort of true, conservative, conservation principles in this moment of psychosis for our party. Again, excellent show! Keep it going!!
Great Energy/Climate Podcast
I’ve learned a lot from Political Climate. Julia Pyper and Brandon Hurlbut are 2 of the smartest people in the climate movement and are full of great insights. Shane Skelton seems like a good guy, and he’s gotten noticeably smarter since Season 1. I also really respect that he’s one of the only Republican voices who is willing to publicly engage in nuanced climate conversations. Consistently great guests.
Thoughtful perspectives from both left & right on climate, policy, & energy
The best, most thoughtful podcast on the intersection of energy, state/federal policy, and climate. I’ve listened for years and can attest to the quality of hosts and guests. I particularly appreciate that this show features input from both left and right perspectives, which really sets it apart from other shows.
Quite Enjoyable!
I began listening a couple of months ago, and have found it to be full of great, knowledgeable discussions around climate and politics. Keep it up!
Fantastic Podcast!
Fresh perspectives from both sides coming together around important environmental issues. We need more podcasts like Political Climate!!
A stellar environmental podcast
I love the bipartisan nature of this podcast. Found it because they were on the Nori Reversing Climate Change podcast. Good balanced debate, really thinking about issues and respect. I feel like all three speakers really listen to each other and their guests. I really really appreciate that. A total win!
Bipartisan, yes!
Desperately needed balance equals solutions we can actually envision being implemented.
Great Podcast!
An Informative, timely, and unique climate podcast!
Excellent Podcast
Always informative and relevant. A great way to keep up on developments in the policy and politics of addressing the crisis of climate change.
Dynamic and Informative Show
I’m hooked, after listening to just one or two episodes. The hosts are invested in speakers and programming that are high-quality and timely, and they work well together to produce interesting conversation. Even if you know little to nothing about energy and environmental issues, I recommend that you subscribe and take in the content!
Amazing show
I am so grateful to this show for keeping me informed about climate issues! As a climate activist I really appreciate the timely info weekly! Thank you!
Good podcast with different perspectives
This podcast is a great way to stay up to date with what is happening in the overlap between climate/energy and US politics.By having a variety of perspectives on the show (many of which I disagree with), Political Climate discusses and analyzes what motivates different actors in the political sphere and in the climate and energy space. Ultimately, engaging with these different actors, many of which outside of the environmental movement, is necessary to build the consensus for decisive action on climate in the US. In my opinion, Political Climate helps contribute to this societal consensus-building.
